Have you seen the lawnmowerman /tv/? Its actually a good film IMO. I think its a real shame the 2nd movie dropped the ball by setting jobe back to being a human for no reason.

At first I thought this was one of those Marvel movies, like Lawnmower Man was an Avenger who mowed lawns with his powers, then I wikippedia it. It's not.

It surpassed my expectations tbh. Good acting (especially by Jeff Fahey), interesting story, good soundtrack & bearable CGI. It's good now, so for 1992 standards it would've been great.

I made the mistake of watching the trailer which reveals half the plot, sadly. Found it for free on YouTube 720p at least (director's cut)

The best parts IMO are when [SPOILER]the doctor realizes Jobe has surpassed him in intelligence, also when Jobe goes on his revenge spree, and when Jobe and Angelo cross paths following Angelo's business trip, both at Angelo's house and in the lab[/SPOILER]

The sequel is in IMDB's top 100 worst movies, 11% rotten tomatos, 29% metacritic, so yeah won't give that a chance. It also has none of the original cast or director
